I must tell you about the great deal I got this past weekend. I am doing a bit of yard saleing now that the weather has gotten nice again. I had stopped at a sale down the street and was on my way back to the car, empty handed, when I spotted a box of Martha Stewart Living magazines out of the corner of my eye. I ended up buying the whole load of 60 magazines for $5, that's about .08 each! Granted, they are outdated, but I am finding most of the articles and features to be timeless. I have been flipping through them and reading articles here and there...love not having to spend $5 on a magazine. When did they get so expensive?!
Speaking of magazines, I currently have an article about my stencil dolls in the Spring issue of The Artistic Stenciler. I will try to post some pics soon.
I thought I would post a follow up to my last entry. This is my completed assemblage doll. Her head is made from a vintage brooch with a watch movement in the center. A pocket watch chain hangs from her wings. I think this chain may be gold, hard to tell, but it has that heavy feel to it. She is available on etsy, if you want to take a look.
