And now for the unveiling of my new and improved studio.... This is the desk that I got at Target. Much better than the old grungy folding table that I had before.
This is probably my favorite area in the whole room. We tore the poles and hardware out of this closet and painted it from top to bottom. This lovely window had a piece of Plexiglas over it. We removed that, cleaned and caulked it really well and installed new shelving. I love the light that the window adds to this area.
I finally have my art collection displayed above my computer desk. These wooden "frames" were an old wardrobe screen that I took apart. I removed the centers and thought they would look lovely on the wall as an enclosure for my art.
And here is the crib that I blogged about earlier. I think this really works....it is a bit big, but fits perfectly below this window. I didn't realize I had so much fabric until I started dumping it in here. No wonder I had so many bins full! I love the fact that I can see everything and dig through to get what I need.
This last area is a picture of an old green metal medicine cabinet that I am using for storage. As you can tell...there is a lot of green in this room. I have been collecting jadite and green enamelware for a long time now and it is finally all coming together here. On top is a mannequin encrusted in old buttons that I use at my shows.
Ok, no more excuses, I can get to work now! To be honest, I feel a little like a deflated balloon today. After 10 days of working in this room, I seriously need a day off. I don't think that will be the case though, there are piles of clothes and other things that have been relocated in other areas of the house that need to be put away, not to mention bare cupboards and an empty refrigerator.
Hope you all have a good day, and many thanks for the encouraging words that have kept me going through all of this!

I love the idea of the crib for your material- how perfect! You can see it all- and it looks great as oppossed bins where you cant really see it anyway! Great idea! You have nice high ceilings too!
