While in Tennessee this past weekend, I stopped by a mom and pop antique shop and found this great old cabinet that came out of a hardware store. It is built out of old scrap wood, mostly packing crates stenciled with names and words. It stands about 5 feet tall and has tons of storage in it. All the white porcelain knobs on the front are original.
It looked a little dusty and dirty when I bought it, but I didn't realize how bad it was until we got it home and started pulling the drawers out. We found lots of spiders, some dead and some not so dead. It gave me the creeps to think we drove home with this in the back of our car while it was teaming with insects (yuck).
This cabinet has spurred a complete studio clean up which I have been working on for the last 2 days. (Will I ever be done?) Here is some of the excess loot that I will be listing in my supply shop soon. There will be lots of good stuff that I either don't have the room for or I have grown weary of. If you know me, you know that I like an ever changing selection of things to work with. Wish me luck in finishing up what has turned into a big project!
