This Wednesday will mark week 4 of our bedroom/bath renovation. Everything is coming together now and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will be posting pictures of the finished rooms very soon, I promise!
After so many weeks of painting, sanding and grouting, I was in serious need of a girls night out. Yesterday, we met over at Jan's house for a little wine and some laughs. She has such cool taste and a great eye for design. I snapped a few pictures of her funky pieces.
A vintage wooden chair collaged with National Enquirer headlines.
A wooden snake encrusted with rhinestone jewelry and other doo-dads.
A rusted metal lamp shade made from a beauty shop dryer. This is perfect hanging over the island in her kitchen.
One of my assemblage robots next to Mr. Owl.
I even got to visit some of my birdies that she has dangling from her tree in the entry way. Sometimes it's so inspiring to visit someone elses home and see the creative things they have done.
I had a little creative spurt myself last week. I was digging through some of my watch parts to list online and decided to put this bracelet together.
I saw one similar to it on ebay and wanted to try making one myself. It was an easy project with jump rings holding the watches together and a closure attached to the end. Ironically, I was wearing this the other day when I looked down to see what time it was and realized that I had 5 watches on and none of them could tell me what time it was! Oh well...design over function always wins out with me.
I do have a big watch inventory I have slowly been listing at Vintage Supply Co.
Here's just a few that are available.
I'm going to try to get some more listings done in the upcoming week. If you are in need of a few new supplies to work with, come over and browse around!
Bye, for now!

These items will make a room looks so great. Especially the watches. I like it so much.
