To celebrate the completion of our renovation project, I thought I deserved a little R&R this past weekend. You all know what that means....a trip to my favorite flea market. We packed up the cooler and headed over to The Metrolina bright and early on Sunday morning. I brought my camera, but didn't end up taking many pictures. This was more of a fun, relaxing trip where I took my time browsing and enjoying the day.
I did drag my camera out to take a picture of this window. I thought it was just too funny. Here's a few of the things I brought home that day.
A black wire birdcage. It's on a stand by the front door and looks so pretty with the morning light behind it.
These old fans have such a wonderful classic design. They were built to last and this one still works! I couldn't resist buying it for my studio.
....and of course, I found some new items that I will be listing in Vintage Supply in the upcoming days.
I love this industrial pulley, but I can't keep everything.
I have lots of old sheet music from the turn of the century that I have bundled up into variety packs.
Watch crystals
and porcelain faces
I was really tired by the time we got home, but it was that good kind of tired. You know when you've been inspired by all the cool things you saw and your couch and tv look so welcoming after being outside in the fresh air all day?
With the warm weather upon us, I am going to try to make as much time as possible to get out to these shows. I am still in search of the perfect accent piece to put in that big blank wall over the bed. I didn't find it this weekend, but will keep my eyes open next time around!
One more thing.....
I forgot to show you my very favorite find of the day! A mink stole for my mannequin. I think she looks very classy with it drapped around her shoulders. I will probably put it away when summer arrives and just display it during the colder months, but for now it stays on!

Beautiful eye candy

How funny is that sign?! It just cracked me up. You did a great job treasure hunting...such slim pickens in my neck of the woods, but that doesn't stop me from looking. Enjoyed your post!
