Time
Oh, this will be a fun theme. I love everything related to time pieces...clocks, pocket watches, gears and parts, clock hands...the list goes on and on. I've used watch parts in my artwork forever.
My grandfather was a jeweler and had his own business in Bangor, Maine. My uncles followed in his footsteps and opened shops of their own. They all did watch repair and one of my uncles gave me lots of old watch parts after he saw what kind of artwork I was doing. I've long since used all of that and now find parts on my own. I still remember my initial excitement when he showed me everything he had gathered together for me.
These are a few assemblage dolls I made using old watch parts
I never grow tired of incorporating them into my designs.
They can make a piece so fun and whimsical.
If you're interested in aquiring some watch parts, I have several lots available at Vintage Supply Co.
This lot is HERE
And this lot is HERE
I have more available, so take a peek when you have a chance.
Happy beginning of the weekend to you! I am going to try to make it to an estate sale tomorrow....if the weather holds out and I have the energy for it.
Bye!

Love the dolls Jeanette!
