Another rainy day here in the south. We have had our share of those this spring and summer. It's getting a little old by this time.
So, I will just spend the day in my studio since I don't want to go out. I'm not complaining....a day playing around with jewelry and perusing the internet is not so bad. If you feel like doing some shopping yourself, I have a few new listings at Vintage Supply. I am slowly going through my personal stash and letting go of some things.
I really love this match tin. I was going to make a pendant out of it, but it never happened. I love the embossed writing on the front.
Ditto for this vintage military shield. I am not sure what country this is from, but I've found if you do just a little research online, it's usually not hard to find.
These optical lenses make great necklaces! Drill a hole in the top, slide a jumpring through it and it's ready to hang from a chain. The fun part is embellishing the glass to make it really special.
I love anything that has a circular design. They could be doll bodies, assemblage parts or even wind chime dangles. It's up to you!
These letters and cards are very old...most have post marks from the late 1800's. Letter writing was an art form back then. I love looking at the beautiful script writing on old letters. You could photocopy these to use in collage work or at this price, use the originals. They are not valuable old documents, I think it would be cool to give them a new life.
Bingo cards can be fun, too.
Some odds and ends earrings. You can never have too many of these laying around for projects. I like to have a stash of them to choose from when I need a bauble or two.
Ok, that's just a little preview. There's a lot more to see, so stop in when you have a chance. Hope you have a great weekend!
