On Friday, I dutifully charged up the battery in my camera so it would be all set for my little weekend getaway to the beach. I almost never do that, I just let it run down and then curse in frustration when it no longer works, but I wanted to be sure I had lots of available juice for picture taking.
On Saturday morning, I pulled my camera out and started snapping photos of the colorful produce at the farmer's market. About 10 clicks in, I realized I had left my photo card at home beside the computer. Oh, the shame and frustration!! So, I don't have much to show you about my trip. I can tell you that we celebrated my mom's birthday by going HERE, and we cooked fettucine alfredo the next night and washed it down with THIS later in the evening. An all around perfect way to help my mom celebrate her special day.
On my way back home, I zipped into an antique shop set up in an old gray barn that I had driven by a dozen times and had never been able to get into because it was always closed. Today it was open and I found these great old albums.
They are pretty damaged, so I don't know if they are worth salvaging. The hardware on them is really what drew me in. I will have to inspect them closely tomorrow and decide what I am going to do with them.
And tomorrow; back to more artwork. I have been on a roll creating birds and some very special larger dolls.
I'm planning on offering these and more in September, just in time for holiday shopping! I should have quite a variety of them by that time.
Hope your week is a good one!
