I listed a whole new grouping of typewriter key bracelets on my website today.
I also listed about a dozen pairs of earrings that I made out of typewriter keys.
It is good for me to switch gears every once in awhile and work on this jewelry. Although it is dirty, sometimes exhausting work preparing the keys, it is more "busy" work than trying to come up with something fresh and creative, as in assemblages or dolls. The fun part comes when the keys are clean, the backs have been sawed off and I can marrying keys and buttons to come up with some (hopefully) pretty designs.
I have been sorting things out in my studio and have listed another few lots on ebay. One lot is an assortment of assemblage items. These items may stimulate some ideas for you, I am sacrificing them because I have so much of the same stuff and need to lighten the load. Another grouping is copper forms. These can be used for enameling or other projects. I have already used many of them that I had. I usually do a chemical process using ammonia, salt and vinegar to age them. This turns shiny, new copper grungy, greenish/blue and old looking. If anyone is interested in that technique, email me. It is a "must do" for me, since I use so much copper in my work.
I would also love your recipe. Your work is just gorgeous!
