This is a close up of one of my birds that I am going to be listing tomorrow on etsy. I love pictures of birdhouses and found this one in an old book. I stashed it away for future use and just came across it the other day. This next piece is called "Father Time." I make so many cutesy girl pieces that I felt like it was time to do something a little more masculine. He's has a robot quality about him. I didn't really know what he was going to end up looking like, but his personality came shining through in the end : )
I went to an interesting cooking demo last night by this food coach. She did a presentation about macrobiotic food preparation. I am always interested in learning how to improve ones health with food. It was eye opening, but a bit intimidating... I felt like a babe in the woods when she starting demoing with foreign (to me) products from the health food store...Quinoa...tamari...??
I thought I was doing pretty well with my diet, I eat lots of fruit and veggies, brown rice and whole wheat pasta, but found out last night that glutton (yeah, I guess that is the true enemy, but what I mean is "GLUTEN") is the real enemy. (Along with sugar, but we already knew that!) Hmmm...food for thought.
Your "Father Time" is fantastic!
He looks as if he knows something he's not telling.
mmmmmm, yum, I love gluten,
and I'm not afraid to say it! ;)
ps--stripping wallpaper=uggghhhh.
